On April 21, 2023, the Chilean Public Health Institute (ISP) issued Resolution No. 1020 authorizing the “Technical guide of recommendations on labeling of cosmetic products”.
In this resolution, the ISP indicates that deficiencies have been detected in the information that cosmetic product labels must contain during the surveillance actions of the health authority. These deficiencies range from discrepancies with authorized information to the absence of information required by regulations, which affects the proper use of these products.
Considering the above, the ISP issues the aforementioned guide with the purpose of providing precise recommendations and guidelines that enable the correct implementation of labeling in this type of product.
